Jo Jo arrives July 23rd! Tattoos for all!

Rainy day fun and project...brothers building a wakeboard dock!

Jo-Jo and Ter on the porch! Just getting started with a fun week ahead.
Terri's new tattoo on her right upper arm. A good place for showing it off in her swimsuit!
Jo-Jo decided a more subtle place, like her ankle would be better. She chose pastels to compliment her swim coverup.
Colleen had always wanted a a "tramp stamp" on her lower back, so Colleen finally got one.
Kellen, Aunt Terri and Kelli jumping off the neighbor's dock during a sunset time. Joann coached from the beach chair.

Jo-Jo (Joann Thomas) arrived last Wednesday, July 23rd. It has been a busy week visiting and sunning. Joann's arm is quite tanned. We all got tattoos, including Jo!!

We've had our share of drama here at the lake, mostly having teen boys...other than that, it has been a quiet, sunny peaceful week. Today things have changed!

The wind has kicked up and there is a chance of some rain this afternoon. The Devlin brothers found an old abandoned dock, brought it in at midnight last night, and now are trying to build a wakeboard dock for rails...DANGER! Instead of the old "city", today it's "dockie"...will update as they prepare to do the first run on the rail, In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit..all angels and Saints of the water protect them! At least they are wearing a helmet!
Jo and I are enjoying it and might even consider a quick drive to Chewelah and possibly on up towards Colville. There has been a bear sighting and Jo is hoping to catch one and bring it home to join the one that made its way to So Cal last year!
Above is a picture of Caiden with a large bass! That's two for the Chris Altig family!
Out of order is Kelli, Kellen and Aunt Terri after their jump in the dock...and I included what I consider a beautiful picture of Joann!

Happy viewing of pictures! I am slow to update but at least you get so SEE what we are doing here at Loon!

Fishing at Loon!

D

Okay, I confess, I couldn't wait to share the pictures I DO HAVE from fishing...enjoy!
The top picture is Keegan and Dan sitting on the dock of the bay wasting time! That's a tune from a song! ha, ha. On our dock visiting and fishing...
Next is just a picture of Keegan's Pelican fishing boat..many a late night fishing tries have been had on that little boat. Now the next generation of young fishermen are enjoying it.
Dan decided our floating chairs made a comfortable way to float out and try his luck at catching dinner, we went hungry that night.
Travis and Brandi taking off for their chance at Walter! They did have fun, although out in the middle of the lake they discovered the boat can be a little squirlie when larger boats zoom by!
Then we have a picture of Colton and the biggest fish caught so far amongst our group!
I sincerely hope this gives you the flavor of things up here...I am actually going to do some marketing soon for Dan's cousin Debbie Hughbanks, the artist. I am looking forward to it and who knows maybe I'll land a little job while I am here each summer.
I would LOVE to spiffy up the store and selections here at the store at Granite Point, pray for me as I may offer sometime this summer...
Love from Loon! Terri

A tour of our "cabin"

Well, I thought I would share some inside pictures of our heavenly treasure here at Granite Point Park! Our little "cabin" is a wonderful place to create summer memories. St. Francis guards the tree and access to the beach, this actually how close we are to the lake! He was a gift from my sweet friend Jo-Jo, he had quite a trip making his way to the lake!
The other pictures are from inside, each year we add little sayings to the wall that says "Loon Lake a place to..." Travis and Brandi have submitted their suggestion. We have some that say "a place to snack and get fat", "drink wine", "Rest your soul", "Not worry", "fish", "create memories", "RELAX with my favorite people"...there are too many, but hopefully if you ever visit you too will be able to add your own memory to the wall!
The last little picture was taken this past weekend when Kelli and her best friend Emma were here..aren't they the cutest little snorkelers?
I hope to attach a picture of Colton and his big fish...all you anglers would LOVE that. If I am unsuccessful with this blog, perhaps fishing will be my next attempt at adding to the blog.
Should you want to see more of Granite point visit their website: www.granitepointpark.com we are in the bay...also, should any of you want to start your own memory wall go to www.awishfulthought.com and visit with Paige, she is located in Escondido and does fabulous things...
Until later...Love from Loon! Terri

A Fourth to remember!

Well, Dan, Travis and Brandi all flew back to San Diego today! It is sad to have them leave, and then Keegan will leave on Thursday. Truthfully, the six day respite will be nice, although I know for certain I will be lonely without them.

Travis and Brandi arrived last Wednesday night, we couldn't wait for them to arrive and to share in this treasure called Loon Lake. Happily it was still light enough for them to see the lake and enjoy a glass of wine lakeside before going to bed.

Shane came out from Spokane and spent some time here on Friday and Saturday. We have some wonderful pictures from our Fourth of July boat parade! I am hopeful that Colleen or Kelli will help me figure out how to share them with all of you!

We had a fun time last night, TJ and B's last night. We drove our boats over for delicious halibut and chips at Shore Acres. First many of the adults did a little wine tasting and then after dinner danced on the sand...it was a blast! We came back and had a little fire on the sand in front of our "cabin" and went to bed rather late. **of course leave it to the Devlin/Altig teens to have a little too much fun with the fireworks. Mind you, they are legal here in Stevens County, but not allowed in Granite Point Park...so you can guess where they decided to shoot the last remaining few...yep, right here on our sandy beach! Of course we caught the dickens for it, which meant ME since I am the one to stay up until all are cozy in bed.

I have decided I am a little too old for consecutive late nights complete with partaking in holiday cheer! So for tonight I am going to do my best to try and get a good nights sleep, although it will not be easy without my Danny here with me.

Oh great...just heard the snap and pop of more fireworks, I jumped up as fast as a cheetah waiting for its kill...knocking my verizon wireless connector and laptop to the floor.Fortunately my blog could be retreived once I discovered that the boys were safely discharging the fun at least 6 feet from the shore and from Keegan's fishing boat. Thanks to Uncle Tom taking Chase and Keegan to Ford for the "real" fireworks the fourth of July really isn't over. I kind of hope Colleen and Tom are hearing this for their benefit! Ha, ha...
More again soon. Love from Loon....
